Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's Off to the OC We Go

I've been trying to get on here to post some pictures, but the one down-side to having Kaveh working from home, taking the kids to school in the morning and picking Nina up 3 late mornings a week (why, oh, why is kindergarten only two and a half hours?) is that he has to work at night. Which means he hogs the one computer that I can download pictures on. Damn him. I suppose I could learn to do it on one of our 3 other computers (well, technically there are 4 others but one is broken) but that would just be too much to try and learn for my brain at night.

So, I'll just tell you what's up - school, work which is in a school, home, eat, clean, make an occasional monster shirt (which is what I wanted to show you people), write some horoscopes for teens, deal with Niko's frequent meltdowns, sleep, exercise, play with the kids if I'm not too wiped out, etc. Gee my life is exciting. But really, I feel pretty happy. Sure, I get VERY anxious when I think about the possibility of another republican getting into the White House, the effects of global warming impacting us RIGHT NOW, the failing economy, and other malaise du jour, but I try and read my spiritual books, absorb myself in helping children and do the best I can to live a positive existence. What choice do we have really?

So anyway, I digress as usual. Friday we're leavin' on a jet plane to go to Orange County for my brother-in-law's wedding. It's a big deal and we're very excited. We're all in the wedding and we're all going to look fabulous - especially Nina and Niko in their flower girl dress and tux, respectively. I can't wait to post the pictures and I promise I will! Wish us luck on yet another plane trip to Cali. It seems to be getting easier to fly with the kids, but Niko has been giving me a run for my money lately. I'm stocking up on candy, dvds and nose spray. Anyone have a Xanex for me??

Hasta luego!

Every girl should have a hefty supply of Xanax! I rue the day I ever have to fly without it--and god knows I barely fly even with it! We ARE coming to visit though! I have to nail down the details but how would the weekend of Nov 1 be? It would be pretty quick but at least all the kids could see each other and we could hang out.
