Happy Halloween! Wait It's Over.

Geez, where the heck have I been? Halloween '08 is ooold news. It came, it went, then there was sickness. These pictures are actually from the "fake" Halloween the Saturday before the real day. We went up to Milwaukee where they strangely do their trick-or-treating the Saturday before the H day, which this year was basically a full week before. Here are some pictures of Nina, Niko, Hana and Lily:

Please note that my friend Tracy handmade her kids' costumes while slacker mom over here went online and bought the most unoriginal ones out there. But hey, my kids didn't seem to mind. After trick-or-treating we had a slumber party and here's how it went down until Niko was removed from Hana's room for an extreme silliness penalty:


Sadly the real Halloween was not as fun. The weather was perfect, but Nina was starting to get sick and I'm sure several pieces of cheap candy didn't help her. The next day my sister, my niece and nephew came to town, right as Nina started to spike a temp and puke her guts out. I didn't even take any pictures! (of Maggie and the kids, not Nina puking) But at least Niko was in pretty good health and got to spend time with his big cousins, who he now worships. I got to spend a little time with them too but it would have been nice to all have been together more.

So that started the week of illness and by the end of last week, Nina was still throwing up and feverish and I got strep throat. Niko had a pretty bad cold and Kaveh had, get this, nothing. The man has the immune system of the Incredible Hulk apparently. I'm crossing my fingers for no more illnesses until at least after Christmas! Please cross yours too.
